Upon arrival at Boston Logan Airport, meet your local New England Tour Manager at baggage claim. After boarding your private, deluxe motor coach enjoy a short ride into downtown Boston to the Historic Omni Parker House which will be your home away from home for the next couple of nights. Tonight you will take a short walk to an excellent local restaurant for your welcome dinner. After dinner, the remainder of your evening is at leisure. Overnight in Boston, MA: Omni Parker House 4*

Day 2 - Sept. 24, 2021: Boston, Cambridge & Harvard (B) Breakfast at hotel Meet your tour manager in the lobby this morning for your exploration of Boston. Start your day with a panoramic bus tour of the city to see some of the highlights of Boston & Cambridge to see some of major sites including Boston Common, Back Bay, Charles River, MIT and Harvard. Some possible photo stops for this morning are Cheers and Copley Square. Also, weather permitting, stop for a short 20-30 minute walk in Harvard Yard. Then you will continue with an easy walking tour to experience off-the-beaten-path, including Freedom Trail sites and several neighborhoods of Boston. The Italian North End is first on the list, enjoy a photo stop at Paul Revere’s House and statue and entrance into the Old North Church. Along the way enjoy a bit of souvenir shopping at local places and a bit of a guided Foodie Tour! Today lunch will be on your own to enjoy some of the local flavors of Boston. This afternoon you can choose to spend it independently exploring the city or you can join your tour manager on an excursion into Charlestown. Experience a short ferry ride to Charlestown. You will have the chance for a photo stop at the USS Constitution, spend some time in the NPS museum and visit Bunker Hill Monument & Museum with artifacts from that very battle. You will then take the ferry back to downtown. Dinner on own and balance of evening at leisure Overnight in Boston, MA: Omni Parker House 4*

Day 3 - Sept. 25, 2021: Boston - Vermont (B,D) Breakfast at hotel Depart Boston with your tour manager this morning. Your first stop will be a visit to Lexington Green where the first shots of the Revolution were fired that fateful day in 1775. Step onto the green where it all happened. Then you will drive through Concord and see 1800’s Author homes (Hawthorne, Thoreau, Louisa May Alcott, Emerson) and continue out of the North Bridge where the “shot heard ‘round the world” happened. For lunch today you will stop in quaint, downtown Concord, MA for some time to eat on your own. After lunch, back on the road heading to Yankee Candles & Vermont! The next stop is about 1.5 hours away: Yankee Candle Village where you will have time to explore on own the shop (don’t worry, they can ship!). Then you will come to a beautiful scenic overlook stop. The famous “100-Mile View” from Hogback Mountain in Marlboro is more than just a pretty place. When you stop at this popular scenic overlook on Route 9 (the Molly Stark Byway), you’ll find gorgeous views of forested land and mountains in Vermont, Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Next you will continue to the Vermont Country Store. The moment you step into The Vermont Country Store, you take a step back to a simpler time and place. Founded in 1946, our authentic country store is stocked to the rafters with 1000s of practical and hard-to-find goods and wares, guaranteed to surprise and delight at every turn. Take home real Vermont maple syrup, locally crafted meats and cheeses, and our homemade Orton Family Fudge. Dozens of free samples! Mildred’s Market sells baked goods, sandwiches and meals-to-go. Also take a stroll through the covered bridge to the gristmill and water wheel museum. Dinner included at a local restaurant en route to your hotel tonight. Overnight in Woodstock, VT: 506 on the River Inn 4*

Day 4 - Sept. 26, 2021: Vermont Exploration - Travel to Northern Vermont (B) Breakfast at hotel Today you will have the chance to experience Billings Farm & Museum, one of the finest Jersey dairy farms in America and a museum of rural Vermont life. It features interactive activities and award-winning historical exhibits. The working farm, farmhouse, and extensive exhibits showcase this model farm, sustained by the Billings and Rockefeller families since 1871. Stop for lunch on own en route today. After lunch, explore Simon Pearce. Pearce located his first US factory, in Quechee, Vermont, in 1981. This site, which is powered hydro electrically by the Ottauquechee River, became a showroom, restaurant, and glass-blowing demonstration facility. The New York Times described him as a prominent American designer of glassware and his works have been given as gifts to foreign dignitaries and to presenters at the Academy Awards. Pearce's company headquarters is in Windsor, Vermont; another manufacturing facility is in Mountain Lake Park, Maryland. His company has retail outlets, sometimes with associated restaurants, on both coasts of the US. This afternoon you will have a photo stop at Quechee Gorge. Some 13,000 years ago, during the Ice Age, Quechee, like the majority of our continent, was covered by a glacier. As the glacier receded from the ocean waters, the melting waters slowly and steadily cut away the bedrock ridge that has become Vermont’s most spectacular natural wonder, Quechee Gorge. Enjoy beautiful vistas 168 feet above the Ottauquechee River. Overnight in Woodstock, VT: 506 on the River Inn 4*

Day 5 - Sept. 27, 2021: Vermont Exploration - Burlington - Stowe - Von Trapp Lodge (B) Breakfast at hotel This morning you will continue traveling North to the Ben & Jerry’s factory tour & graveyard (sadly, not all the flavors have made it). And yes, of course there are samples! You may also have the chance to stop at a local cheese store and/or cider mill. This afternoon you will head to the nearby town of Stowe. Visit the Von Trapp Family Lodge to see where the famous family moved! Tonight, enjoy dinner on your own in downtown Stowe and have a bit of free time to explore this charming town. Then you will meet and return to your resort, about an hour up the backroads. Overnight in Northern Vermont: Jay Peak Resort 3*
