Williamsburg is where Virginia patriots developed principles of self-government, individual liberty and responsible leadership. The 18th Century Capital showcases a variety of restored and reconstructed homes, buildings, museums, craft shops, taverns, and provides special entertainment.
Nothing says Colonial Williamsburg like the decorations. Every year hundreds of candles, miles of pine roping, truckloads of greenery and bushels of fresh fruit combine to give Colonial Williamsburg its much-imitated but never-duplicated charm and elegance.
After lunch in a Colonial Tavern you will have the afternoon free to shop and visit your choice of other buildings and museums included with your ticket.
This evening you will join in the magic of Colonial Williamsburg’s Grand Illumination. Grand Illumination is the official commencement to the holiday season in Colonial Williamsburg. The celebration includes fireworks, musical entertainment, dancing, caroling, dramatic presentations, holiday glitter, sights, smells, sounds and the warmth and grandeur of the holiday season.
